 Our Artists

The Creative Learning Loft is proud to be associated with local artists:

Nancy Stirm, Fine Artist

Nancy received her B.S. Degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia Pa., and her teaching credential in Art & Home Economics from the California State University. After teaching art programs at the Foster City Recreation Dept., Nancy was awarded a scholarship to study illustration at the San Francisco Art Academy. This led to her career development as an artist & carousel painter for Barrangos in South San Francisco.

In the following years she specialized in watercolors, and was represented by the Sunbird Gallery in Los Altos, Ca., and the Peasant Folk Collection in Carmel, Ca. Nancy's numerous prizes and awards include that from the Triton Art Museum, and she has recently been honored by having two watercolor paintings published by North Light Books 2000 in Splash 6. She is a signature member of SWA and the Burlingame Art Society.

Nancy is the creative genius behind our wonderful mural, "Dinosaur Land".

Teresa Silvestri, Watercolors
A native of California, Teresa Silvestri resides in Belmont with her husband and their three rescued dogs.   She took her first art class in 1999 and was instantly captivated by the beautiful transparency of the colors and the challenges of the watercolor medium.  Her representational painting style is known for its softness, utilizing many layers of washes and glazes.  While Teresa enjoys painting all subject matters, she is best known for her animal paintings and specializes in pet portraits from clients’ own photos.   She has won numerous awards in local and regional shows and her artwork resides in collections nationwide.  She welcomes commissions for pet portraits, capturing each animal's gentle spirit and soul.

Graphic Artist

Stephanie Soo
Stephanie designed our wonderful logo,
'Children Reaching for the Stars'. She also painted some of the Fairies in the Fantasy Forest.
